Publication of the Repertory of Welsh Manuscripts and Scribes c.800 – c.1800

That this House congratulates Dr Daniel Huws, former Keeper of Manuscripts and Records at the National Library of Wales, in the constituency of Ceredigion, on his remarkable achievement of the completion of A Repertory of Welsh Manuscripts and Scribes c.800 – c.1800, his magnum opus and the most significant study of Welsh manuscripts for over a century, co-published by the University of Wales Centre for Advanced Welsh and Celtic Studies and the National Library of Wales; acknowledges the continued academic and editorial assistance provided to Dr Huws by both institutions since the project’s inception as well as the support of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and the Welsh Government, the Neil Ker Memorial Fund, individual donations, the subscribers to the Repertory, the Learned Society of Wales and the Association for Manuscripts and Archives in Research Collections towards the publication of the three volumes and the international conference on Welsh Manuscripts to be held in June 2022 to celebrate the Repertory; and wishes Dr Daniel Huws a very happy 90th birthday as he is awarded the Medal of the Honourable Society of Cymmrodorion for his scholarly contribution.
