That this House congratulates Sean Lazzerini from Barrhead on his gold medal victory in the light-heavyweight men’s boxing final at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games; notes that this win builds on an already successful boxing career, including a gold medal at the 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games and a silver medal at the 2019 Under-22 championships in Russia; recognises the significant contribution that the coaching team had in his victory; further notes that Sean’s gold medal victory added to an impressive medal haul by Team Scotland; and wishes Sean all the best for his future boxing career.
