Home-Start Clackmannanshire

That this House celebrates the outstanding work of Home-Start Clackmannanshire, which for more than 36 years has been there for local families; recognises that its trained volunteers and family support workers give practical help, friendship, and encouragement to parents who are often struggling with poverty, mental health, disability, or simply the pressures of bringing up children; notes that its services range from home-visits, Walk & Talk buddies, and telephone befriending to weekly family groups, targeted programmes, and community activities; pays tribute to its staff, trustees, volunteers and funders for the dedication and compassion they show every day; and calls for sustainable funding for community-based family support charities like Home-Start Clackmannanshire.
