Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

That this House commemorates Cervical Cancer Awareness Month; celebrates the NHS HPV vaccination programme; praises the success of the HPV vaccine which stops 90% of cervical cancer cases and can reduce incidence in low socioeconomic groups; recognises that each year more than 3,200 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer in the UK; further praises the work of charities and healthcare professionals in screening and treating cervical cancer; further recognises that steps must be taken to close the cervical cancer screening gap for those with learning disabilities; and calls on the Government to expand access to screening for cervical cancer and guarantee that anyone with a urgent cancer referral receives treatment within 62 days.
