Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Snape (Labour), on Tuesday, 16 February 1993, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 51 members in total.
BRITISH SCHOOL OF MOTORING AND FOREIGN CARS
That this House deplores the decision of the British School of Motoring to purchase Spanish-built Vauxhall Corsa motor cars to replace their Rover Metro fleet; believes that the financial arrangements behind this transaction should be investigated by the DTI; regrets that BSM should turn its back on British cars and British jobs in this way; and calls on all would-be learner drivers in the United Kingdom to avoid booking driving lessons with BSM until this damaging policy is rescinded.
