Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Clive Jones (Liberal Democrat), on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 14 members in total.

Protection of historic green spaces

This House congratulates and commends the Limmerhill Residents Association and Save Limmerhill campaign group for their determined and impressively-organised efforts to protect one of Wokingham’s remaining green spaces; welcomes the planning inspector's decision to refuse the appeal by developers Monopro Ltd to build 60 homes on Limmerhill, recognising the harm such development would cause to the community and natural beauty of the area; notes the site's significant archaeological and environmental value, including evidence of Iron Age and Mesolithic activity; and calls on the Government to ensure that planning policy properly protects community green spaces and empowers local communities to safeguard their valued landscapes, heritage, and natural environments.
