Congratulations to Primary 5 at Dalry Primary School on climate action

That this House congratulates Primary 5 at Dalry Primary School in Edinburgh South West for their work to understand the causes and impacts of climate change both locally and globally; recognises the leadership shown by the young people in writing to His Majesty the King and to politicians; thanks His Majesty the King for responding to their call for action by writing to the class; further thanks Mrs Merav Gardi for her commitment in supporting Primary 5 in pursuing their passion for learning about climate change and for enabling them to be a role model for Primary 5 classes across the UK; and calls on the Government to reflect in forthcoming legislation the pupils’ request that we are encouraged and empowered to take actions such as increasing recycling, reducing meat consumption, and ending the wasteful use of energy.
