Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Rachel Gilmour (Liberal Democrat), on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 11 members in total.
Cost of plumbing services
That this House recognises the significant and rising cost of plumbing services and, in particular, emergency call-outs; notes with concern that the cost-of-living crisis is increasingly limiting people's ability to access the plumbing services they need; further notes that the rural premium exacerbates such challenges, where communities are often remote and disproportionately elderly and face particular difficulty in accessing timely and affordable services; and calls on the Government to increase investment to address skills shortages in the plumbing sector.
