DD8 Music and BonFest's 20th anniversary
That this House congratulates Kirriemuir’s BonFest and community based charity DD8 Music on the occasion of the festival’s 20th anniversary; recognises the success of the annual festival, which celebrates the life and legacy of former AC/DC frontman and son of Kirriemuir, Bon Scott; notes the significant cultural and economic value of BonFest to Kirriemuir and to Scotland as a whole; commends the dedication of volunteers, organisers, performers and supporters, and the vital funds raised to support the next generation of young musicians in the area; and wishes DD8 Music and all those involved in BonFest every success as the festival continues to thrive and grow.
