Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Shockat Adam (Independent (affiliation)), on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 5 members in total.
Hydrotherapy pools and access to rehabilitation services
That this House recognises the importance of hydrotherapy pools in recovery, rehabilitation and promoting both physical and mental wellbeing; recognises the devastating closure of Leicester’s hydrotherapy pool, a huge service loss for many living with chronic pain, disability and mobility challenges; understands the essential role such facilities play for community groups including Arthritis Support Leicestershire; and calls on the Government to work with local authorities to safeguard funding for hydrotherapy pools and to ensure equitable access to hydrotherapy treatment across the UK.
