That this House congratulates Heart of Midlothian Football Club on its exceptional performance throughout the 2025-26 Scottish Premiership season; applauds the tactical leadership of manager Derek McInnes and the dedication of the entire playing squad in securing a fantastic second-place finish with 80 points; notes that the club took the league title race to a thrilling final-day decider only for Celtic to be declared winner in the final minutes, demonstrating immense competitive spirit and resilience; celebrates the goalscoring exploits of Lawrence Shankland, who netted 20 goals in all competitions to lead the team's attack; welcomes the guarantee of European group-stage football returning to Tynecastle Park for the upcoming season; commends the fans and the Foundation of Hearts for their unwavering support, which remains a shining example of successful community ownership in British football; agrees that from the legendary 1914 team, still the greatest in the club’s history, to the work of the Big Hearts Community Trust today, this is a club that has helped shape the communities around Tynecastle and Scotland's capital; and resounds Hearts Hearts Glorious Hearts as the club prepares for the 2026/27 season.
