Death sentences in Iran

This House notes that the individuals listed below are currently facing the death penalty or have been sentenced to death following judicial processes that international observers, including the UN, have repeatedly exposed as failing to meet minimum standards of due process and fair trials; and urges the Government to issue a public statement calling for the immediate halt of these executions and for the commuting of all death sentences and in particular for Ahmad Reza Jalal, a doctor and academic arrested in 2016 whose health is failing, Pezman Sultani, Nasimeh Islam Zehi Balooch,Masoud Jamei Bavi, Hasan and Husain Amiri, Yousof Ahmadi, Ali Pishehvar, Omid Tabari Moghadam, Mehrdad Mohamadi, Raouf Shiekh Marofi, Mohsen Islamkhah, Farhad Etemadifar, Farhad Baran Zehi, Omran Aghal, Ramezan Asadi, Mehdi Skandari, Arfan Amiri, Davoud Aminzadeh, Hamid Reza Sabet, Mansour Jafari, Mobin Sultani, Shahin Sulimani, Mahbobeh Shabati, Ashkan Maleki, Arman Marefati, and Amir Mohamad Mojalel.
