University of Aberdeen Medical School ASME Institutional Commitment to Scholarship Award
That this House congratulates the University of Aberdeen’s School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition on receiving the 2026 Association for the Study of Medical Education Institutional Commitment to Scholarship Award; notes that this prestigious recognition highlights outstanding and sustained commitment to excellence in health professions education; further notes that the University of Aberdeen is the only medical school in Scotland to receive this honour; recognises the strength of its culture of educational scholarship, collaboration and innovation, including the work of the Centre for Healthcare Education Research and Innovation; commends the staff and students whose dedication has contributed to advancing best practice in medical education across the United Kingdom and beyond; and expresses confidence that this achievement will continue to enhance the quality of training for future healthcare professionals and benefit the communities they will go on to serve.
