Bonaly Primary School 50th anniversary and primary six mock elections

That this House celebrates the 50th anniversary of Bonaly Primary School, marked on 19 June 2026; acknowledges the school's longstanding contribution to the local community and the important part it has played in making Bonaly a wonderful place to raise a family; congratulates the generations of teachers and support staff who have served the school over the past fifty years, including the current headteacher, Kirstie Miller, and her team, for their dedication and for continuing to provide an excellent education for local children; further congratulates the school on the successful organisation of its primary six (P6) mock elections, which saw eight class parties contesting the vote on the basis of a range of manifesto commitments; commends class teacher Liam Johnston and class assistant Lucy Forrest for fostering an understanding of democracy and civic participation in an engaging and enjoyable way; and applauds the P6 pupils for their enthusiasm, creativity and active participation throughout the election process.
