Resuscitation Council UK’s Check Your Defib Week
That this House recognises the importance of Resuscitation Council UK’s Check Your Defib Week, which took place from 15 to 21 June 2026; notes that the campaign encouraged individuals, organisations and communities to ensure that publicly accessible defibrillators are properly maintained, registered and ready for use in an emergency; further notes that early access to a working defibrillator can significantly improve survival rates for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest; acknowledges the vital role played by community groups, volunteers and local organisations in maintaining these life-saving devices; commends Resuscitation Council UK for raising awareness of this important issue and promoting greater public confidence in using defibrillators; and urges continued efforts to improve access to, and maintenance of, defibrillators across all communities.
