Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Michael Latham (Conservative), on Thursday, 7 June 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 1 members in total.
Justice in Iran
That this House takes note of the sermon delivered at Tehran University on 18th May by Ayatollah Musavi-Ardebili, in which he stated that the prescribed punishment for homosexual acts by men or women was execution by decapitation, or being thrown off a mountain or being burnt alive; and hopes that Iran will immediately repudiate such mediaeval barbarities and return to modern civilisation.
