Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gill Furniss (Labour), on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 22 members in total.
Carbon monoxide alarms
That this House mourns the tragic death of Cherish Bean; recognises the work that her mother Devon Andrews has done since her passing to raise awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide; commends her for garnering more than 20,000 signatures on her petition; notes research from the UK Health Security Agency that estimates 20 people die each year in England and Wales from unintentional carbon monoxide poisoning, with many more hospitalised; and calls upon the Government to review the enforcement of carbon monoxide alarms in holiday accommodation in order to prevent further tragedies.
