BRITISH COAL PENSIONS (No. 2)
That this House notes that Rhoslyn Roberts, Secretary of the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme, considers current safeguards inadequate for its protection; considers that the President of the Board of Trade and the Minister for Energy have been proved incompetent in their dealings with the mining industry; congratulates the Social Security Select Committee upon its investigation into all pension funds administered by British Coal and urges a speedy conclusion; and further calls on British Coal to refrain from any action with regard to these funds until the Committee's deliberations are complete.
