Justice in Iran (No. 2)
That this House notes the decision of the Iranian Parliament on 16th May to approve a new law that anyone found guilty of fradulent distortion of, or tampering with, the works of the late Mr Khomeini should be sentenced to prison for six months to three years, or to corporal punishment of 35 to 74 lashes, together with a 50,000 to 500, 000 rials fine, or both; and regrets that such barbarous penalties can be contemplated in 1990.
