Queensferry Museum Second World War exhibition
That this House congratulates the Queensferry Museum on the opening of its new exhibition exploring the important role that South Queensferry played during the Second World War; recognises the profound impact of the war on individuals, families and communities, from the outbreak of hostilities and the defence of the Forth, through the hardships of life on the home front to eventual victory and homecoming; further recognises that the exhibition traces the impact of the war on the close-knit community of South Queensferry and highlights the town’s important contribution to the war effort; and thanks the Queensferry History Group for curating the exhibition and bringing together personal stories, photographs and artefacts that showcase the experiences of those from South Queensferry who served their country.
