Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Lord Snape (Labour), on Thursday, 26 November 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 9 members in total.
CONDUCT OF THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR DOVER
That this House notes that the honourable Member for Dover, who tabled Early Day Motion No. 856 (Conduct of the Leader of the Opposition), was himself named as the employer of former House of Commons researcher Miss Pamela Bordes, who claimed subsequently that her duties on his behalf mainly involved the serving of peanuts and canapes to Conservative honourable Members and their guests, that for this and other similar tasks Miss Bordes was paid from public funds on the authority of the honourable Member, who was also responsible for the issue of her House of Commons photographic pass; and urges the honourable Member for Dover to exercise caution before attacking the Leader of the Opposition for matters over which he has no responsibility.
