Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Chris Mullin (Labour), on Thursday, 14 June 1990, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 31 members in total.
Convictions of Mrs Annie Maguire and Others
That this House welcomes the long overdue announcement by the Director of Public Prosecutions that the convictions of Mrs Annie Maguire and her co-defendants are unsafe; trusts that Sir John May will treat with caution the suggestion that the forensic evidence was the result of innocent contamination; and urges him to consider fraud, perjury or gross incompetence as alternative and more credible possible explanations.
