Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Colin Pickthall (Labour), on Wednesday, 21 October 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 145 members in total.
HARE COURSING
That this House applauds the initiative of West Lancashire District Council in its cross-party decision to seek a by-law banning hare coursing in the District, which is the venue for the Waterloo Cup; deplores the Home Office's manufacturing of excuses to prevent the by-law; and urges the Government to actively assist those councils and other agencies seeking to outlaw the disgusting activity of hare coursing.
