Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Roger Moate (Conservative), on Thursday, 25 June 1992, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 13 members in total.
MARSHAM STREET
That this House notes with approval the intention to demolish the Marsham Street offices of the Departments of the Environment and Transport; and urges Her Majesty's Government to set an example in environmental improvement by not redeveloping this important site with yet more surplus office buildings and to use this unique opportunity to create a new public open space, or other imaginative use, at the heart of the capital and to launch a competition for its design.
