OBSCENE TELEPHONE CALLS

That this House welcomes the announcement by British Telecom that they are to use new technology to trace obscene telephone callers; believes that the most effective deterrent will be successful prosecution of offenders; and welcomes the increase in the penalty for this offence from ??400 to ??1,000.
