JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS OF GULF WAR ILLNESSES

That this House congratulates the noble Lord Lloyd of Berwick, and his colleagues Dr Norman Jones and Sir Michael Davies, on their exhaustive inquiry into the illnesses suffered by British troops who served in the 1991 Gulf War; welcomes the comprehensive report of their investigation; and endorses the recommendations of the report which specifically require that the Ministry of Defence should now formally recognise the causal connection between that service and the illness of veterans and should make appropriate compensation arrangements forthwith.
