Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Norman A Godman (Labour), on Wednesday, 20 July 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 92 members in total.

PROPOSED CLOSURES OF POST OFFICES IN GREENOCK

That this House views with serious concern the proposals of Post Office Counters Ltd. to close the post offices in Nicolson Street and Cathcart Street, Greenock; readily acknowledges the fine services currently provided in both post offices, which are easily accessible to elderly people and others with similar needs; and therefore calls upon Post Office Counters Ltd. to take heed of and respect the strength of local opinion on this issue by maintaining the post offices concerned.
