Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Robert N Wareing (Labour), on Tuesday, 18 October 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 33 members in total.

CONDUCT OF THE RIGHT HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR RICHMOND AND BARNES

That this House deplores the disparaging remarks made by the Right honourable Member for Richmond and Barnes and Chairman of the Conservative Party about Liverpool in the speech to the Tory Party Conference; recognises that the enterprise, humour and initiative of the people of Liverpool is rebuilding a great city whose citizens treat such remarks with the contempt they deserve; and suggests that if the Tory Party Chairman is looking for a real rotten borough whose hallmark is waste, inefficiency and poor services he need look no further than the City of Westminster in which his own Conservative Party Central Office is located.
