Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Alan Simpson (Labour), on Tuesday, 1 November 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 10 members in total.

PEACE MOVEMENT RALLY

That this House congratulates the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament for organising a peaceful and highly successful march and rally for a nuclear free world on Saturday 29th October; supports the call for the scrapping of the Trident submarine and weapons programme as an essential step towards eliminating nuclear weapons world-wide; condemns the consistent refusal of the Government to abide by the terms of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty; and further expresses dismay at the excessive and wholly unnecessary numbers of police on duty at a demonstration for peace.
