Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Mildred Gordon (Labour), on Friday, 17 June 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 49 members in total.
CHILD SUPPORT ACT DEMONSTRATION IN TRAFALGAR SQUARE
That this House condemns the action of the Department of National Heritage in refusing permission for a rally in Trafalgar Square on Father's Day of a network of organisations from all over Britain which oppose the Child Support Act 1991, on the flimsy pretence that this event would be likely to attract a large number of people, especially with children; and believes this deplorable decision to be a denial of the democratic right of parents and an excuse which could be used to prevent the use of Trafalgar Square for any demonstration.
