Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Ian McCartney (Labour), on Tuesday, 28 June 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 84 members in total.
REVIEW OF DENTAL SERVICES
That this House expreses its grave concern at the continued delay by Government in publishing its response to Sir Kenneth Bloomfield's Fundamental Review of Dental Remuneration on the Health Select Committee's Fourth Report of Session 1992-93 on Dental Services (HC 264) and the continuing increase in the number of dental de-registrations which have risen to 687,765 between July 1992 and June 1994, a 9.17 per cent. increase since March of this year; calls on the Government to end the damaging instability and speculation among the dental profession and patients on the future of National Health Service dental services by publishing its proposals and the Oral Health Strategy for England at the earliest available opportunity; and calls for a comprehensive service of diagnostic and preventative care to be available free to all patients, in line with the Health Select Committee recommendations.
