Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Gordon Prentice (Labour), on Thursday, 10 February 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 40 members in total.
RACISM AND THE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS
That this House applauds the action of the Liberal Democrats' London Region in issuing an ultimatum to the Liberal Democrat councillors in Tower Hamlets to accept the findings of the internal party inquiry which found that Focus leaflets pandered to racism; but regrets that purposeful action to root out racism in the Liberal Democrats has been dismissed by the Liberal Democrat Lancashire County Councillor, Tony Greaves, as 'political correctness'.
