Early day motion tabled by primary sponsor Harry Cohen (Labour), on Tuesday, 1 March 1994, in the House of Commons. It is signed by 68 members in total.
WATERLOO CUP (NO. 2)
That this House notes with great pleasure that the annual hare coursing event, the Waterloo Cup, was cancelled due to inclement weather and that the lives of many hares were saved; further hopes that this event will never take place again; and, recognising that a majority of the public and honourable Members are opposed to this barbaric so-called 'sport', calls on the Government to allow Parliament time to debate and vote on this issue.
