To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many people have benefited from winter fuel payments in (a) Jarrow constituency, (b) South Tyneside, (c) the North East and (d) the UK since their inception.

Mr. Hepburn: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many people have benefited from winter fuel payments in (a) Jarrow constituency, (b) South Tyneside, (c) the north-east and (d) the UK since their inception. [223656] Malcolm Wicks: Information on the number of people in the Jarrow constituency, South Tyneside, the north-east and Great Britain who have benefited from winter fuel payments in each year for which figures are available is in the Library. Information on payments made in Northern Ireland is a matter for my right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
