To ask the Deputy Prime Minister, pursuant to his Answer of 25th February, Official Report, column 902W, on Social Housing (Right to Buy), what estimate he has made of the amount of capital receipts from right to buy sales in debt-free authorities that will be centrally pooled in (a) 2004-05, (b) 2005-06, (c) 2006-07 and (d) 2007-08.

Mr. Edward Davey: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister pursuant to his answer of 25 February 2005, Official Report, column 902W, on social housing (right to buy), what estimate he has made of the amount of capital receipts from right to buy sales in debt-free authorities that will be centrally pooled in (a) 2004-05, (b) 2005-06, (c) 2006-07 and (d) 2007-08. [223296] Keith Hill: Current estimates are tabled as follows: _________________________________________________________________________________________________. £ million 2004-05 51 2005-06 102 2006-07 150 2007-08 197 _________________________________________________________________________________________________. The increase year-on-year is a feature of the transitional arrangements, which allow debt-free local authorities to retain 75 per cent. of the value of poolable receipts in 2004-05, 50 per cent. in 2005-06 and 25 per cent. in 2006-07. The transitional arrangements end in 2007-08.
