Kate Hoey: To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs pursuant to the answer of 21 March 2005, Official Report, column 592W, on the EU presidency, what the budget was for public-facing activities for the previous UK presidency of the EU. [224639] Mr. MacShane: Expenditure for public-facing activities for the previous UK presidency of the EU in 1998 is recorded as being £521,359.35.
