Bob Russell: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister if he will make it his policy to exempt members of HM armed forces from council tax for periods when they are posted on duties overseas. [224910] Mr. Raynsford: Officials in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister are currently exploring with Officials in the Ministry of Defence whether there is a case for a council tax exemption or discount for service personnel serving abroad.
