Hugh Bayley: To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills how much funding per (a) undergraduate and (b) postgraduate student the Government have provided to (i) the University of York and (ii) University College of York St. John in each year since 1996-97. [224651] Dr. Howells: The information requested can be found in the following tables, however it is not possible to provide a comparable time series as the changes in the funding models vary from year to year. Information prior to 1998-99 is not available on a similar basis to the later years and has therefore been shown in separate tables.
