Consumer Trading and Standards Agency

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what the timetable is for the establishment of the proposed Consumer Trading and Standards Agency.
Answer

DTI will shortly be issuing a consultation on the establishment of the new Consumer and Trading Standards Agency, as recommended in the Hampton Report.Hampton recommended that the CTSA should be operational by 2009.
