- To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many patients have contracted MRSA at hospitals in (a) Romford, (b) Essex and (c) London in 2005.

The information requested is not available in the format requested, but the number of cases of meticillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus blood stream infections reported from April 2004 to March 2005 in Essex, London and the Barking, Havering and Redbridge Hospitals National Health Service Trust, which covers Romford, is shown in the table.
