Hazardous Waste

- To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what the estimated cost of dealing with illegal dumping of hazardous waste in the Province has been over the last three year period for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement.

The Environment and Heritage Service does not hold details of the cost of dealing with illegally dumped hazardous waste. District councils have a statutory responsibility for dealing with fly-tipped hazardous waste, and bearing the costs of its disposal.
