The chief executive of Roads Service (Dr. Malcolm McKibbin) has been asked to write to the hon. Lady in response to this question.Letter from Malcolm McKibbin to Mrs. Iris Robinson, dated 7 November 2005:"You recently asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland a Parliamentary Question regarding when the Roads Service expects to commence construction of the A20 Frederick Street Link in Newtownards.""I have been asked to reply as this issue falls within my responsibility as Chief Executive of Roads Service.""Roads Service anticipates that work could commence on the construction of the A20 Frederick Street Link in 2007. However, this would be subject to the satisfactory completion of statutory processes and the availability of funding at that time.""I hope this information is helpful."
