Intensive Supervision and Surveillance

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proportion of young offenders who took part in the Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programme re-offended within two years in each police authority area.
Answer

The only source of reconviction data for the Intensive Supervision and Surveillance Programme is the 24 month reconviction study carried out by Oxford University for the Youth Justice Board, which does not cover all police areas. This was published on 24 October 2005, and a copy has been placed in the House of Commons Library.
