Answer

The latter can include investigation and removal from the list of agencies adhering to the code of practice. The Department receives regular reports on compliance with the code from NHS Employers and holds regular review meetings with NHS Employers on the operation of the code. There is routine liaison between officials of the Department and NHS Employers. To date, 11 agencies have been removed from the list for breaches of the code.
