Business question from Julie Morgan (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 17 November 2005. It occurred during Business statement on Business of the House.
Business of the House
I am pleased to hear that we now have a date for the Second Reading of the Health Bill, which is an important Bill. Will my right hon. Friend reconsider allowing a free vote for Labour Members on smoking in public places? I am sure that he is aware of the strength of feeling on that issue. Is it not just the sort of issue on which we should have a free vote?
