- To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the training requirements are for nurses to administer the Mantoux test for TB.

Training requirements for nurses administering Mantoux tests are that they should be properly trained and competent in all aspects of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) immunisation policy and Mantoux testing procedure including:"recent changes to national BCG policy,""identification of individuals at higher risk of tuberculosis,""when the use of Mantoux testing is appropriate,""administration of an intradermal injection,""subsequent reading of the test."
