Navigable Waterways (England)
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many negotiated access agreements the Environment Agency has concluded for access to waterways for users of unpowered craft.
- Answer

The Environment Agency is on course to complete agreements in the four pilot areas by the summer of 2006. This is expected to create over 70 km of newly negotiated access.In addition, the Agency has acted, and will continue to act, as an honest broker in access agreements negotiated by others when requested to do so.
