Taxis

Question
To ask the Prime Minister how much has been spent by his Office on taxi travel in the 2005–06 financial year; and what proportion of such travel was undertaken in each nation and region of the UK, including London.
Answer

For these purposes my Office forms part of the Cabinet Office. I refer the hon. Member to the letter from my right hon. Friend the then Duchy of Lancaster (John Hutton) to the hon. Member for Monmouth (David T.C. Davies), a copy of which is available in the Library of the House. Figures for financial year 2005–06 are not yet available.
