Oral answer to question provided on Wednesday, 14 December 2005 in the House of Commons, by Tony Blair (Labour), Prime Minister.

Engagements

Answer

Because I have one or two other things to do at the moment. I have to say that I do not in any shape or form regret having supported the action we took. Today and this week is a particularly good time to remind ourselves that this week there will be the first ever democratic election in Iraq in which its people will be able to choose their Government for the first time ever. Alongside our alliance with the United States, that is something that I am very proud of.
