Iraq: Compensation Claims

- How much compensation has been paid to Iraqis in respect of claims other than those for property damage; and how many such claims have been made.
- Answer

With effect from the cessation of hostilities on 1 June 2003 to 30 November 2005, 485 cases for compensation have been received from Iraqis in respect of claims other than those for property damage. Payments totaling £244,114 have been paid in 89 of the cases.
